Filter Funnel Manifolds, MFA-RGL Series, MFA-RSL Series

Vacuum filtration manifolds are used primarily in microbiological and analytical procedures that involve collecting particulates (bacteria, precipitate, etc.) from a liquid suspension. They are specifically designed and manufactured for filtering multiple samples at the same time. Because each filter holder has an individual control valve, only one vacuum pump is needed to operate the single or multi-branch manifold filters simultaneously.
Attention
- Depending on the different characteristics of the solution, choose the suitable membrane filter between the funnel and the filter head, align the ground part and fix with clamp.
- Press the switch to start the pump, then pour the solvent into the funnel to begin filtration.
- During filtration, prevent overfilling the collection bottle. Liquid entering the pump may be hazardous or cause damage to the equipment.
- If there is leakage between the filter head and the funnel, check whether the ground part is aligned, the membrane is flat, and the clamp is securely tightened and properly seated.
- When the flow rate decreases, check whether there are excessive impurities on the membrane that affect the filtration speed, and replace the membrane filter if required.
Membrane Selection
Membrane selection is key to achieving the best filtration results. The membrane material must be compatible with the characteristics of the filter medium and must be chemically resistant to it. Available pore sizes: 0.22 µm, 0.45 µm, 0.8 µm, and others. Compatible membrane diameters: φ 47 mm or φ 50 mm.
Sterilization
All manifolds can be autoclaved at 121°C for 20–30 minutes, or sterilized using ethylene oxide.
